To car audio entrusiasts, Harman Becker represents the benchmark for high-end cars stereo.
Over the years Becker radios have proven to be not just of high standard, but also with bulletroof durability. Together with iconic presense, they truly belong to the collectors' class the same way as the cars they're fitted in.
Common problems with these radio are usually caused by capacitors leaking that leads to shortcircutiing and/or loss of power. The problem is particularly severse with 612 series and the 7-channels Bose amplifier that goes together with the Mexico 2000 system.

Becker Grand Prix Classic
This is the most popular Becker radio that you find out there, as it's fitted in many Mercedes and BMW from late 70s to the early 90s.
These radios are probably the best excample of German engineering: solid build, elegant presence that last in time, and unmistakably good audio quality that defines Becker.
Started with 612 series that has small display, then 738/754 series with larger display and the 1402 series has soft buttons for cassete controls.

Becker Mexico 2000 is the system that comprises an indash headunit and a radio tuner/amplifier in the trunk. The system is designed to work with optional CD changer and multi-channel amplifier.
Becker Mexico CD (BE868) was among the world's first car stereo that can play CD that may still be working today.

Vintage Becker Europa, Grand Prix and Mexico
The first model of Becker Mexico radio was introduced in 1953, as the first car radio with automatic tuning in the world. The mechanism is complicated and though many have failed, we are able to restore many of these units back to perfect running condition.
On top of that, we can also add high quality Bluetooth streaming into the unit, making it fit for everyday modern use.
