VW MIB (Modular Infotainment Platform)
Introduced in VW Golf Mk7 and Skoda Octavia Mk3 in 2013 as MIB1, then MIB2 system is rolled out in all models from late 2015 except the Touareg.
From 2018 MIB2+ (or 2.5) starts with VW Touareg CR then MIB3 followed in all models from 2020.
Most MIB2 come with Smartphone Connectivity (Carplay and Android Auto), some MIB2+ and all MIB3 add wireless Smartphone Connectivity.
They are marketted in different packages as below:

VW Touareg RNS-850
Touareg 7P 2010-2018
RNS-850 is actually MMI3G+ system. Therefore it's important to perform proper diagnosis to determine correct equipment to repair or replace.
We supply replacement headunit and radio / amplifier module with Component Protection transfer to ensure plug and play.

VW Skoda RNS-510
RNS-510 was fitted in all VW and Skoda models from 2008 to 2013, Passat and Superb got it until 2015. It's the most well-known before MIB.
Unit has built-in navigation with map on hard drive, supports Bluetooth via an external module. We do offer repair of RNS-510 or you can order one.
Alternatively, RCD-330 is an easy upgrade with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
